## Abstract

A system and method for providing a social networking service to a plurality of devices. A social networking server for facilitating social information exchange among the plurality of devices through a socially aware network. A social profiles manager is coupled to the social networking server that creates and manages individual centric profiles of the plurality of devices. The individual centric profiles of the plurality of devices are social representation of individual devices within the socially aware network. The plurality of devices are identifiable by other participants and the social networking server through their social profiles.

## Independent claims

1. A system for device health management to facilitate uninterrupted synchronous operation of a first device and a second device, the system comprising: an intelligent health monitoring unit communicatively coupled to the first device and the second device, wherein each of the first device and the second device are associated with an individual device profile comprising a set of predefined working parameters and relationship parameters that define a device-to-device interconnection framework for coordinated functioning, and wherein the intelligent health monitoring unit is to continuously monitor health parameters and detect one or more fault based on comparisons with the set of predefined working parameters; a networking server to receive a fault information about the second device from the intelligent health monitoring unit and initiate an operational fix by identifying an alternative device based on a determined relationship compatibility between the first device and potential alternative devices as defined by their respective relationship parameters, wherein the alternative device is identified from a set of interconnected devices capable of performing synchronous operations according to predefined event timelines; and a switch matrix associated with at least the alternative device, wherein the switch matrix is to change an operating state of the alternative device based on an executable instruction requesting a change in the operating state of the alternative device to perform coordinated functioning in adherence with event occurrence timelines associated with the first device.

11. A non-transitory program storage device, readable by a computer, comprising executable instructions for performing a method to allow continued synchronous operation of interconnected devices including at least a first device, a second device, and a third device, via a network, the method comprising: connecting the devices with a networking server for electronic activity; from the first device and the second device, sending a search request for identifying functionally similar devices based on their profiles and operating characteristics including relationship parameters defining device-to-device coordination frameworks; receiving a list of device profiles respectively by the first device and the second device associated with functionally similar devices; and initiating an action through the networking server to communicate status to the interconnected devices, enabling the third device to switch to a predefined task upon health failure of one of the first device and the second device, wherein the third device is identified based on relationship compatibility requirements defining event coordination timelines that facilitate synchronous operation among the interconnected devices.

14. A method to perform continued synchronous operation of interconnected devices including at least a first device, a second device, and a third device, via a network, the method comprising: connecting the devices with a networking server for electronic activity; from the first device and the second device, sending a search request for identifying functionally similar devices based on their profiles and operating characteristics including relationship parameters defining device-to-device coordination frameworks; receiving a list of device profiles respectively by the first device and the second device associated with functionally similar devices; and initiating an action through the networking server to communicate status to the interconnected devices, enabling the third device to switch to a predefined task upon health failure of one of the first device and the second device, wherein the third device is identified based on relationship compatibility requirements defining event coordination timelines that facilitate synchronous operation among the interconnected devices.
