Which new forms of work become possible
Our standing argument that the interesting question about AI is not which jobs get faster, but which jobs become possible that nobody was ever staffed to do. It underwrites how all four units pick their work.
The obvious use of AI is a faster version of an existing department. That is worth something and it is not worth our time. The question we run on all four units is which entirely new forms of work become possible once the marginal cost of attention drops to near zero.
A company that reads every denial a plan issues the day it lands is doing a job nobody was staffed for. So is a reference lab that reads biomarkers out of ordinary sensors. Those are the ventures we charter and the inventions we file.
