The competitor Eidolon evidence line

Mark every competitor claim as observed, disclosed, reported, or inferred, so analysis built on it cannot quietly promote a guess.

Under the pillar Eidolons: working digital reflections

Four labels

Observed means we saw it: a product in use, a price on a quote, a filing, a released change. Disclosed means they said it publicly. Reported means a third party said it. Inferred means we worked it out, and the reasoning is written next to the conclusion.

Keep contradictions. Two credible sources disagreeing about a competitor's direction is a finding, not a defect to be resolved by the person doing the writing.

What this prevents

Unlabelled competitor files turn into folklore. Labelled ones let an engine say that a recommendation rests on inference rather than evidence, which is the sentence most competitive analysis is missing.
