Companion to Medical Device Connectivity

The chapters of Medical Device Connectivity introduce each field tool and work it once on one of the book’s recurring devices. The full tools are here, where a team can print one, copy it into a shared document, and fill in one copy per device, fleet, or product.

Nothing here replaces the book. Each tool names the chapter that works it, and assumes you have read that chapter’s argument.

Choose Your Tools#

• You buy or evaluate devices. Start with the buyer tools: classify the device, rate its connectivity, send the vendor the written questions, and put the requirements into the contract.
• You build devices. Start with the builder tools: inventory the evidence the device produces, review the architecture for network dependence, and gate each release.

Both sets apply to any institutional device class, not only the recurring devices the chapters use.
