Run the Monthly Product Review on What Users Did
The Product Evidence Review
Companion to You Are Not the User · Updated 2026-09-29
Use this when leadership reviews product decisions every month and you want the meeting to run on what users did rather than what the room believes. Worked in “A Fast Loop Only Works if Real Users Stay in It.”
The Product Evidence Review agenda: monthly, 60 minutes, in this order.
| Segment | Minutes | Questions the segment must answer | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
| Production evidence | 20 | What did users actually do last month in the workflows we changed or are about to change? What moved? | |
| Open Product Evidence Briefs, by ladder level | 20 | What does each brief claim, for which role, at what level? What’s missing? What’s the smallest test? | |
| Simulated UAT results, with disclosures | 10 | What decision may each result support, and which may it not? | |
| Decisions and owners | 10 | What did we decide? Who owns each test, and when do we hear the result? |
Production evidence goes first, every time. Adjust the minutes after a few months if you need to; don’t change the order.
