Software counts as a work here. Some of it is open source and public, some of it stays inside a venture, and each entry records its licence and status rather than implying one.
A venture that has to rebuild its engineering setup, its telemetry, or its release process from nothing spends its first quarter on work that was already done next door. We keep that work in one place, maintain it properly, and let every company draw on it. When something we built for ourselves turns out to be worth more outside, it gets spun out rather than kept as an internal tool.
